RESPONSIBILITIES

Advertisement

  • Conduct research into the viability of newly proposed qualifications
  • Applying for programme accreditation for legacy qualifications and new occupational certificates
  • Source and secure learning materials for new occupational programmes
  • Register and re-register assessors, moderators, and facilitators with relevant SETA and QCTO
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance before programme implementation
  • Maintain a database of SETA and QCTO approved learning material
  • Maintain a database of current assessors, moderators, and facilitators
  • Plan and prepare for programme and site accreditation in consultation with the relevant programme head
  • Attending relevant SETA and QCTO meetings
  • Support employers with the workplace approval process
  • Perform any other functions as seen fit by the organisation.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS

  • A suitable tertiary qualification
  • 3-5 years’ experience working with SETAs/QCTO in dealing with regulatory compliance
  • 3 years’ experience in programme accreditation with SETAs/QCTO as well as the employer workplace approval
  • Sound knowledge and experience in working with QCTO qualifications and understanding its processes and procedures
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a TVET College environment (private and or Public)
  • Sound evidence of project management ability
  • Efficient in computer literacy
  • Driver’s licence

RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Basic research skills
  • Qualification in project management

Duties & Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is overseeing the daily workings of the organisation operations and maintain a high-quality standard of organisations deliverable in line with site specific SLA’s.

• Ensure sites are managed according to budgeted costings and growth targets.
• Ensure all healthcare standards are adhered to in line with Infection Control practices
• Management and training of staff on site including supervisor(s)
• Controls the Clients chemicals i.e. dilution, mixing and issuing of the chemicals
• Maintain the cleaning programme and use initiative on when to be flexible regarding staffing
• Will be responsible for audits done on site by the Client(s) (Standard Operating Procedures)
• Ensure correct product obtained by following correct processes
• Do daily checks and follow-ups
• Must be able to solve problems by using initiative
• Must report maintenance, safety concerns to manager day to day as they arise

Skills and Competencies

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar environment on middle management level

• Experience in managing large compliments of people and a large client portfolio
• Understand cleaning principles and knowledge of company policies and procedures
• Good understanding of scheduling of staffing and assign cleaning tasks productively to each position to achieve an output standard according to site specific SLA’s
• Business management principles, including proven financial skills
• Strong people skills and knowledge or Industrial relations
• Strong on client relationships and strong communication skills

Key Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Carry out cleaning tasks for designated areas, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents etc.
  • Clean the side walls, walk ways, meeting rooms
  • Clean office furniture and ICT equipment
  • Perform deep cleaning as per request and according to schedule

Binning

  • Ensure the binning of incoming merchandise and the replenishment of inventory from bulk to pick locations is performed as per standard operating procedures and requirements
  • Ensure new products are allocated with bin location numbers in the correct warehouse area
  • Ensure bins are updated and stock allocated to new bin locations are reported to you superior and updated
  • Assist in replenishment functions
  • Ensure all incoming goods are received and checked as per company standards

Picking

  • Ensure picking of customer and branch orders are being picked timorously to meet order cut off times
  • Ensure picking from bulk locations are only done as alternative bin when stock is depleted and not replenished in the picking phase or when picking bulk orders to prevent the breakage of pack sizes
  • Carry out all reasonable and lawful instruction relating to work given to you by your superior
  • Follow all relevant procedures to increase efficient customer satisfaction
  • Assist in stock take procedures
  • Ensure housekeeping is done daily
  • Ensure double checks are done to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and to prevent loss of inventory
  • Ensure set standard operational targets are achieved consistently

Scanner Control

  • Issue scanners to all operators daily.
  • Book out scanners on the electronic app.
  • Receive scanners back from operators, inspect scanner for damage and book back into stock on the electronic app.
  • Report any damage to the supervisor
  • Complete the daily scanner issue spreadsheet

Sappi Ngodwana Mill requires a Nursing Assistant to assist with the maintenance of a healthy workforce, establish support functions that aim to improve employee safety and productivity, and to implement systems that ensure compliance with relevant legislation.

This role reports to the Health Practitioner.

The main responsibilities of this job are:

  • Schedule medical examinations, take patient history prior to medical examination and conduct basic observations including blood pressure, pulse, weight, urine, and height to assist in completion of medical examinations
  • Conduct HCT counselling and testing
  • Conduct Audiometry, vision and lung function testing and ensure daily calibration of spirometer and audiometer (after certification and training).
  • Accurate record keeping and reporting of consultations in medical records through electronic data management for legal and statistical requirements in accordance confidentiality clause
  • Educate regarding chronic and acute treatment, the correct intake of their medication, diet, partner disclosure and holistic health management
  • Assist with appointments and referrals to external service providers as per standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in relevant committee structures. e.g., Health and Safety, EWB peer educators and visit departments/sections to discuss health-related issues.
  • Conduct plant visits and inspections to ensure cleanliness and to identify certain basic health risks
  • Monitor and assist substance abusers and assist with the follow up
  • Assist with wound care
  • Assist with medical waste care management
  • Check First Aid boxes as per schedule; replenish missing stock, compile and up-keep of First Aid register as per legal requirements
  • Provide primary emergency care within scope, regarding assessment and referral to the appropriate service if required
  • Daily checks of emergency clinic equipment, stock, and oxygen supply.
  • Where applicable, daily Ambulance vehicle and equipment checks, replenish missing stock, report any faults with the ambulance or equipment, and ensure the ambulance are clean.
  • Assist with capturing of data on the Rand Mutual system and management of the IOD with the health practitioner
