Job Advert Summary

Rand water is looking for a candidate who will be reporting to the Transport Manager. The candidate will be managing the day-to-day activities of the Administration Section of Transport in full compliance with sound financial practices, efficient procurement process, EMS Tripsheet application and access.

Minimum Requirements

• Standard 10 or equivalent.

• Five years’ experience in a Fleet environment at a supervisory position.

• 2 years’ experience with supervision of staff

• Ability to communicate at all levels – verbal (face to face), verbal (telephonic) and written (electronic and hand written).

• Operational computer literacy in Ms Office is essential, with the emphasis on Ms Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.

• Track record of highly efficient office administration practices

• Working knowledge of the Maximo and SAP system will be an advantage.

• Advanced MS Excel, Access and Word

Primary Duties

• Ensure that all Administrative duties are carried out according to Transport Process relating to employees’ salary.

• Ensure completion of time sheets.

• Ensure staff engage in the work expected and relieve each other as and when required.

• Ensure a complete filing system is maintained by all staff for their respective work.

• Ensure that all data capturing is done by all staff for their respective work.

• Liaise with Internal customers

• Petty Cash according to Rand Waters Policy.

• Variance Reporting Download, investigate and explain or resolve monthly.

• Compile Supplementary Budget purchases issue network numbers and process purchase requisition


• Ms Office.

• Maximo.

Warehouseman at Bidvest International Logistics Careers




Job Purpose

BIL seeks to employ a vibrant and energetic warehouseman in our Elandshaven facility, the successful candidate must have experience in warehouse operations and leading of teams, the incumbent must be willing to work and contribute towards the companies objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

Grade 12 or Equivalent 3 years experience in a similar role Experience within a cargo handling environment. Exposure to operational administration procedures Experience in maintaining and upholding health and safety Forklift license Experience in managing teams

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Activities
Ensure all bins are Cycle counted to ensure stock Accuracy
Ensure to Count all areas under BIL control as per SLA and KPI requirements
Ensure daily orders is confirmed in the WMS systems correctly
Ensure daily stock receipted and binned is confirmed in the WMS systems correctly
Ensure all daily receipts/Orders are Quality Checked ensuring 100% correctness prior to binning and or disptaching
Expedite any urgent materials to the bins to ensure the stock is available at the soonest for orders
Inspect cargo counted for damages and report if necessary
Bin cargo using hand held scanners after ensuring the labels on stock correlate to the actual material received
Rectify any mistakes and highlight these to the receiving/outbound team as and when required
Assist with securing cargo by strapping and shrink-wrapping where necessary for safe storage
Report any discrepancies and theft to the Superintendent/facility manager
Safely operate reach truck and forklift as and when required
Ensure that handling of all client stock is done with reasonable care
Ensure that all scheduled daily tasks are completed prior to leaving
Ensure that all cargo is handled in terms of MSDS requirements prior to binning
Ensure that all generated documents correlate to the receipted/dispatching loads at all times
Quality check all receipted/and or Outbound cargo for accuracy and correctness against system generated documents
Always complete any operational documents with a Name. Signature, Date and Time stamp
Help in other departments within the team when your area of responsibility is not busy to alleviate pressure
Ensure that hazardous materials are stored in accordance to the compatibility charts
Ensure that all inbound/Outbound materials are packaged in a manner so that they will not be damaged in transit / storage
Identify and quarantine expired/damaged/shortage/surplus stock and report to quality control for a decision to be made
Ensure all stock queries are investigated and closed out as soon as possible

General Operational Duties
Report any abnormalities /defects in the warehouse
Ensure that goods are correctly and safely transported/loaded (Haz Classes and Stock Classification)
Report all damages, negligence and theft immediately to the Superintendent/Facility manager
Operate any counter balance forklift up to 3.5 tons
Ensure that handling equipment checklists are completed and signed off
Ensure that safety devices are operational on all handling equipment
Ensure that operational equipment is parked in designated area at all times and to be charging when the shift ends
Use of scanners as effectively and efficiently as possible without damaging the scanner
Participate actively in the SHERQ programs that is implemented in the facility
Perform other functions or tasks outside the job description that is deemed reasonable by you and the supervisor
Ensure that all scheduled tasks for the day is completed, prior to leaving
Ensure that the warehouse conforms to excellent house keeping (5S)
Ensure desks are clean at all times. All BIL Documentation to be placed into respective Trays
Any Chemical/material spills to be reported to SHEQ and cleaned up in accordance with procedures on MSDS
Ensure that you respond to call outs as quickly and efficiently as possibly
Posting of cargo to the Airline should be done timeously
Quick responses to Emails

Ensure a clear understanding of the companies SOP’s as well as policies
Report any non conformances to supervisor/Superintendent/Facility Manager
Ensure that near misses are completed and escalated to management
Involvement and participation in BIL WAREHOUSING EC as well as the compliance to OSH Act
In care of clients cargo as well as company assets at all times
Ensure that any incidents and or accidents are reports to the Supervisor/Superintendent timeuously
Involvement and participation in BIL WAREHOUSING EC as well as the compliance to OSH Act
In care of clients cargo as well as company assets at all times
Always ensure that you, and visitors have the correct PPE to be worn at all times and used in the correct manner
PPE must be worn at all times
Attend Daily/Weekly Blue Area Talks – Staff Meetings

The main purpose of this position is to research, design, implement and provide business data process integration solutions across the business areas of the Group Security Management Department (GSMD) within the South African Reserve Bank (SARB), generate reports on information trends, create efficiencies of the process, and ensure data integrity for the purposes of business intelligence and management information.
Detailed Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:
· Build and maintain the GSMD business data model based on business requirements.
· Ensure the collection and correlation of business data from security data-generating sources such as Electronic Access Control System (EACS), Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Building Management System (BMS), Fire Detection System (FDS), Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), Emergency Management Application (EMA), Firearm Management System (Factt) and Cyber security systems to meet business situational awareness requirements.
· Define business use cases according to business requirements.
· Perform analysis of structured data from security and facility systems to provide insight in support of decision-making and business processes.
· Provide data analysis services in support of the capability for integrated situational awareness reporting that highlights the risks, trends and degree of compliance based on data analysed.
· Establish and maintain business stakeholder relationships.
· Research, design, implement and validate fit-for-purpose enhancements of business data collection, aggregation and correlation management systems.
· Lead business data-related projects as project owner, and participate in business projects related to business data collection and correlation.
· Proactively broaden knowledge of own functional area, displaying a willingness to make improvements in the Unit (including methods and practices).
Job Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:
· a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Technology (IT), or Statistics, or an equivalent NQF 7 qualification; and
· five to eight years of working experience in business data and information collection and analysis.

Our team is composed of maintenance professionals who provide on-site customer service to ensure the smooth and safe operation of our equipment. We are now looking for a service-minded Maintenance Technician to provide professional elevator and escalator maintenance service to our customers.

In this role, you will be at the core of KONE – an everyday hero who makes people’s lives easier. You will work towards ensuring quality service, improving equipment safety and performance as well as promoting regular and proactive on-site communication to customer and the people using the equipment.

  • Customer Centric outlook producing a high level of customer satisfaction through quality of service, regular, proactive, and precise on-site communication;
  • Responsive and accurate real time back reporting of work performed;
  • Maintains excellent relationships with the customers, the contact person and end-users on site;
  • Maintain a safe and secure site environment during service operations;
  • Identification of site risks, and timely communication of any such occurrences;
  • Identifying “unplanned” service repairs based on the equipment needs and proactively drive this revenue stream;
  • Management of PAR stock levels (shelving, inventory, stock transfer) and timely issuance of replenish orders;

Skills & Experience:

One or more of the following qualifications:

  • Red seal trade test certificate lift mechanic

  • Completed NQF level 5 certification with completion of at least 12 months shadowing a competent lift mechanic
