This comes after her former lover 23-year-old Vusi Ngubane, allegedly bought himself an Audi using Zodwa’s name after they broke up.

Zodwa also claims that she used to give him a lot of money while they were still together.

Prior to her relationship with Ngubane, Zodwa broke off her engagement with Ntobeko Linda.

In 2019, Zodwa went down on one knee at Eyadini Lounge, in Durban, and asked Ntobeko to marry her.

She later raised eyebrows when she announced that she would pay lobola to the Linda family, something that is unheard of in African culture.

Zodwa has been teasing fans with snaps of her mystery man.

Bonang Matheba Caught In Ownership Dispute Over House Of BNG With CSA Global

CSA Global has responded to claims made regarding the ownership of Bonang Matheba’s MCC and sparkling wine brand House of BNG.

Last week, the businesswoman revealed in a Twitter Space that she had terminated her contract with CSA Global and is busy with legal action against the management agency.

“Today, I announce that I’ve terminated that contract … and they no longer represent me or any of my business ventures.

“Furthermore, I have instructed my lawyers to investigate the possibility of criminal conduct by the company and its representatives.

“I will revert over the next few days with more updates so that others can be aware of what I consider as their very unsavoury behaviour.“

Following this, CSA Global refuted Bonang’s claims and revealed she was in breach of multiple contracts and had been neglecting the brands, as well as her own, for the past six months.

On Sunday, the “Being Bonang” star revealed to Sunday Times that the agency behaved differently than what was agreed upon and in some instances acted without her knowledge on some matters and in certain dealings.

CSA Global has responded to these claims in a statement to IOL Entertainment and said Bonang’s claims that she brought House of BNG with her to the agency were untrue.

According to them, she joined in 2017 and the alcohol brand launched in 2019.

Furthermore, the celebrity management agency said it was instrumental in the development of the House of BNG.

This includes branding, naming convention, packaging, distribution while making specific mention of the sparkling wine in a can range, BNG Nectar, too.

Additionally, they also stated that while Bonang has made millions of rands from the alcohol brand, the agency has made a loss from it.

They pointed out that she “earns a royalty on the retail price for each unit sold, while not being exposed to any liability should the business make a loss or is required to be capitalised.“

With regards to ownership of House of BNG, the agency said that, “Ms Matheba and her lawyers are fully familiar with the terms of agreement in which it was stipulated from the onset, prior to joining CSA, that any IP, trademark, copyright developed by CSA, shall remain in the possession of CSA.”

They added that her earning rights shall continue for so long as earnings on such intellectual property are being received.

Ending the statement, the agency said they hope for an amicable solution and her legal team have advised they will revert regarding a decision to exit the business venture.

At the time of publishing, IOL Entertainment had not received a response to questions sent to Bonang.

Tweeps Rally Behind Olwee Aka Ms Party After Getting ‘Backlash’ For Dancing Video

Tweeps Rally Behind Olwee Aka Ms Party After Getting 'Backlash' For Dancing Video

After Uncle Waffles (Lungelihle Zwane) gained a lot of attention for her dancing moves, Olwee, aka Ms Party, was caught in a sea of nasty comments for a video posted by a Twitter user.

For those who are not familiar with all this, Olwee has wowed Mzansi audiences with his expert DJing skills and epic dance moves from festivals such as Bacardi Holiday Club and even during hard lockdown with DJ Zinhle’s PJ Party sessions.

Following Uncle Waffles’ video going viral, Twitter user @khawula_musa shared a video of Olwee from a gig the previous night that saw many comments in the mentions accusing Ms Party of copying the viral sensation and making fun of Olwee’s dancing along with comments that can be perceived as homophobic.

Tweeps quickly came in to defend Olwee with the “King X Queens” hitmaker also stepping in to set the record straight.

Speaking to IOL Entertainment about the social media uproar, Olwee addressed why he responded to what was going on with the video.

“I’m happy with Uncle Waffles. I didn’t know Uncle Waffles until this morning when I then decided to prod the story further to see what everyone’s talking about … People thought that I’m copying Uncle Waffles.

“The video was posted such that people thought it was happening in real-time yesterday, when in fact that video was shot on Saturday.

“Musa went and chose that video and posted it during this whole thing, while everyone was talking about Uncle Waffles, knowing very well that the story is gonna turn and be around me.”

He went on to explain that the post lacked context since it only said Ms Party on the decks, and that Musa hadn’t previously posted anything about him and that his DJing wasn’t something newsworthy

Olwee also said that in the video he appears to be offbeat because there is different audio in the video to what was being played.

He continued: “I definitely believe that people knew that the beat that’s on there is not the same one as the actual thing that’s happening on there, but because of their homophobia, people were like ’Okay, in fact we’re gonna laugh at this one’.

“People were laughing at how I’m dressed. Inside the comment, there were people who were saying ’What is this?’ Not ’Who is this?’ I was described as a ’what’ by various people.

“So everything that happened was then laced with homophobia. Even people who’ve seen other videos of me were not saying anything, they were also laughing.

“Which is fine, I know the industry that I’m in. I then decided that I’m gonna say something because, wasn’t gonna say anything, I was just gonna leave.

“But it was escalating, and this Musa was not deleting this video. And the point I wanted to make was, for one, I’m not copying this girl.

“I’ve been doing this for years. So what I wanted to affirm was that I’ve definitely been doing this for a long time. I wasn’t saying that she’s copying me … I never made it about me, but the minute people started to make this thing about me copying someone all of a sudden, when I’ve been doing this for years, I had to make that point known.”

Nota Baloyi Makes Wild Claims In Rambling Twitter Spaces Episode

Early last year, not many people had heard of Nota Baloyi.

Now, following several public disputes and altercations, Nota is one of the most infamous figures in South African entertainment.

Recently, Nota, who’s mostly known as rapper Kwesta’s former manager and business partner, has been embroiled in a public spat with “By Any Means” rapper Stogie T, following the pair’s physical altercation at a show a few weeks back.

Amid the drama, Stogie T recently released the song “Mama Say” in which he appears to fire subliminal shots at Nota, among them: “ready to put a dental plate on freckle face”.

Nota responded to the new release with a comical Twitter post: “Please stream @TumiMolekane’s latest single and help him get the measly 15-25% royalties her earns from Def Jam Africa so that he can move out of mama’s house. He’s 40-years old, it’s NOT A good look!”

In the wee hours of this morning, Nota took to Twitter Spaces to address the Stogie T drama and speak about a few other things.

In his rambling Spaces, Nota revealed that he was being sued by popular DJ, Shimza. He didn’t elaborate on why he was being sued.

Nota also took the opportunity to try to discredit Drip Footwear, the sneaker brand that recently partnered with rapper Cassper Nyovest, claiming that they’re involved in illegal business dealings.

He then claimed that embattled rapper AKA was dating “Naah Mean” rapper Nadia Nakai.

Talk about spilling the tea.

At one point, entertainment entrepreneur and lawyer Katlego Malatji, chimed in on the Spaces and claimed that none of the country’s biggest acts, many of whom Malatji represents, wanted to work with Nota anymore.

Nota responded: “They’ve never told me that, so if they’ve told you that then these are the things that you guys gossip about behind my back.

“I don’t know any of those things. Mina I know that the people that I’ve worked with, that I’ve served, have benefitted from everything that I’ve been able to do.” (sic)

The saga continues.

Mmusi Maimane And Shimza Go At Each Other Again

Mmusi Maimane And Shimza Go At Each Other Again

One South Africa Movement founder Mmusi Maimane and music producer DJ Shimza got into a Twitter war again.

Over the weekend, the “Makhe” hitmaker hosted a Twitter Space to clear the air regarding his restaurant, The Hang Awt 1632, being booked as the venue for the tourism minister Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane’s two-hour cook-off with media personality Somizi Mhlongo event.

In case you missed it, the “Miniseries Cook-off with Somizi” received a lot of backlash in June, not only the R150 000 spent on the event but also questions around impropriety about Shimza’s restaurant being used since he’s dating Athi Geleba, the head of digital communications in the presidency.

The former Democratic Alliance leader used this as a jab against Shimza in their recent twar about the R15 million “stadium” that was built in the Enoch Mgijima local municipality in the Eastern Cape.

In the Space on Sunday, Shimza answered questions from tweeps about the process he followed about the event hosted by the tourism department.

However, when questions regarding impropriety popped up, he differed from giving a direct answer with co-host @KMalatji stepping in to answer on his behalf.

Following the interest from Space, the “Congo Congo” hitmaker then tweeted Mmusi, and said: “Hao @MmusiMaimane we waited for you broer.”

To which Mmusi clapped back and said: “To join a cover up session. I wasn’t born last night.

I told you that no DJ can spin the turntables of impropriety and corruption.”

He followed this up by stating that, in his view, if everything was above board, Shimza wouldn’t have needed his lawyer present in the Space and that he should present all the relevant paperwork.

He ended his tweet by saying: ”I know a fire pool story when I see it.“

Responding to Maimane’s request, Shimza said: “Ai Mmusi you just reaching bro, I gave you an opportunity to engage and you ran, when you ready let’s chat so I can give you the answers you need.”

However, the One South Africa Movement founder was adamant that Shimza needed to produce receipts to verify his story, to which the local DJ just said: “ai bye”.
