Position outputs:
1. Perform High Voltage Switching, Taking of H.T Permits & testing for the purpose of safe maintenance & repairs of ship loading & off-loading, E.L&P &external contractors ensuring optimum reliable, economical & safe High Voltage power distribution network for a 24 hour continuous electrical supply to the Port & equipment.
2. To carry out all general & SAP maintenance, repairs & modifications to ship loading & off- loading, plant & equipment in accordance with the Health & Safety Act ensuring high standards ars maintained.
3. To analyse & evaluate the nature & cause of breakdowns & perform repairs & determining the optimum way of dealing with the problem to achieve a quality & cost effective solution & enhancing operational availability of equipment & minimize down-time.
4. To have a basis knowledge of Mechanical procedures to repair breakdowns in conjunction with Millwrights/Examiners.
5 Conduct post operation Electrical inspection on all Port Electrical equipment & keep records to prevent re occurrence of faults.
5.Fault finding on a 24hr basis on PLC’s, AC+DC Electrical motors, Electrical Hydraulic
systems, compressors, dalmatics, scales, repairs to portable tools, Multicore, & Fibre Optic cables & all associated electrical equipment pertaining to Port, to ensure efficient operations & minimize downtime.
6.To carry out inspections of D.B boards, testing of earth, leakages & plugs. Carry out repairs & inspections on portable electrical tools. Records & file equipment conditions & faults.
Qualifications & Experience:
# Red Seal Electrical Trade Test Certificate
# Valid Code 08/B vehicle drivers licence
# 1 Year relevant experience in the Electrical engineering environment (Apprenticeship training included and for Internal
candidates)

Responsibilities
- Perform assigned tasks and escalate issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations.
- Coordinate with suppliers to initiate warranty claim and process failed vendor hardware devices. This includes information processing, packaging, shipment, and receipt of return for Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) devices following all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) related to RMA warranty process.
- Leverage process knowledge and best judgment to complete tasks with minimal direct supervision.
- Maintains a strong focus to understand the impact of their work when completing tickets and assigned Inventory and Asset Management (IAM) tasks.
- Maintains and steward up-to-date and accurate logical information within various inventory management systems (e.g., configuration management databases, asset management repositories).
- Ensures detailed physical inventory tracking and staging.
- Help to reconcile and report inventory discrepancies.
- Performs destruction of data bearing devices (DBD) following all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Microsoft policies as necessary.
- Notifies management about ordering stock shortages. Escalates any issues to management.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma AND 1+ year(s) experience warehouse/supply chain in an information technology (IT) environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or a related field.
- OR equivalent experience.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- 2+ year(s) experience in warehouse/supply chain in an information technology (IT) environment, IT, and/or logistics, operating heavy-load movement equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jacks, chassis lifts) for a large corporation
