Position Purpose:
Project Director, reporting to the Executive Manager Project Delivery Unit is accountable for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of projects / programme. role has the overall accountability for the following:
The scope, cost, schedule, and quality on all the phases of the programme or project(s).
Providing routine and regular feedback to the Project Sponsors, Executive Manager Project Delivery Unit and Execution
Team on progress, issues or areas of concern.
Decision making and coordinating overall needs and direction in liaison with the Executive Manager Project Delivery Unit.
Reviewing the performance on projects and programme regularly with the Executive Manager Project Delivery Unit and the project team as necessary.
Assists with major issues, problems and policy conflicts; removes obstacles; is active in planning the scope; approves scope changes, signs off major deliverables; and signs off on approvals to proceed to each succeeding project phase as per the PLP process
Fulfilling the role of direct liaison officer with the Transnet Division Customers and Stakeholders in support of Senior
Management, Regulator & Government interactions.

Position outputs:
3.1 Providing leadership to Project and interface with relevant departmental heads of Engineering and Capital Governance and Controls.
3.2 Ensuring that the project(s) are executed safely and in compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies, standing instructions and safe working procedures.
3.3 Developing an appropriate organisation structure for execution of the project, identifying functions necessary, selecting appropriately experienced and enthusiastic personnel for specific positions and delegating responsibilities. Identifying part-time team members.
3.4 Ensuring that the projects are executed in compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies, standing instructions and working procedures.
3.5 Setting goals and objectives, identifying priorities, clearly communicating these to team members and appropriate other parties, providing leadership in their implementation. Motivating, ensuring commitment, and building a results-oriented team focused on achieving the optimum outcome for Transnet.
3.6 Maintaining a relationship with the client at a senior executive level.
3.7 Maintaining and displaying clear “ownership” and accountability for delivery of the project’s business outcomes.
3.8 Recommending and implementing corrective strategies where needed to best meet Transnet’s overall project objectives.
3.9 Ensuring adherence to the project’s authorised Scope of Work, monitoring scope status and advising the client accordingly.
3.10 Defining and delegating the projects roles and assigning levels of approval and authority.
3.11 Being responsible for communication with the client, particularly regarding requests for changes and modifications.
Ensuring contractual commitments regarding deliverables are met.
3.12 Reviewing and approving the monthly project progress report prepared for the client and / or for distribution to other parties.
3.13 Signing third party procurement contracts within the approved delegated framework limits as the Client.
3.14 Supporting staff development and skills transfer.
3.15 Ensuring adherence to the project’s / programme’s scope of work, monitoring scope status and advising the client accordingly.
3.16 Monitoring performance of relevant role players to ensure SLA’s obligations are adhered to.
3.17 Managing finance in accordance with policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
3.18 Securing resource requirements to ensure deliverables are met in accordance to targets.
3.19 Managing Human Resources actions according to policies, procedures and legal requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
B-Tech or Degree in Built Environment or relevant qualification.
Professional registration with recognised professional body or eligibility to obtain within 12 months.
Master’s Degree in Management or Engineering or Equivalent is an added advantage.
- 15 – 20 years’ experience in built environment.
- 10 years’ experience in construction project management.
Standard Job Requirements:
- Driver’s license code 08
- Travel as required and approved
Requirement of Trust and Honesty in the handling of Finances as per the National Credit Act Amendment 19.Competencies:
- Extensive applied knowledge of all relevant legislations and regulations for the built environment.
- Applied knowledge of applicable industry related regulatory frameworks and legislation, e.g. for port, rail, freight, pipeline, etc.
- Extensive applied knowledge of Infrastructure Planning frameworks, practices and government policies.

Parts Incorporated Africa is searching for a General Worker to join the Branch in Nelspruit. To perform general warehouse duties such as stock taking, binning, picking, packing, checking, moving stock, and ensuring that the warehouse is always clean.
Position Overview
Specific Role Responsibilities
Binning
- Ensure the binning of incoming merchandise and the replenishment of inventory from bulk to pick locations is performed as per standard operating procedures and requirements
- Ensure new products are allocated with bin location numbers in the correct warehouse area
- Ensure bins are updated and stock allocated to new bin locations are reported to you superior and updated
- Assist in replenishment functions
- Ensure all incoming goods are received and checked as per company standards
Picking
- Ensure picking of customer and branch orders are being picked timorously to meet order cut off times
- Ensure picking from bulk locations are only done as alternative bin when stock is depleted and not replenished in the picking phase or when picking bulk orders to prevent the breakage of pack sizes
- Carry out all reasonable and lawful instruction relating to work given to you by your superior
- Follow all relevant procedures to increase efficient customer satisfaction
- Assist in stock take procedures
- Ensure housekeeping is done daily
- Ensure double checks are done to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and to prevent loss of inventory
- Ensure set standard operational targets are achieved consistently
Scanner Control
- Issue scanners to all operators daily.
- Book out scanners on the electronic app.
- Receive scanners back from operators, inspect scanner for damage and book back into stock on the electronic app.
- Report any damage to the supervisor
- Complete the daily scanner issue spreadsheet
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12, Literacy and Numeracy equivalent
- At least 3 Years in a warehouse and or logistics environment- Desirable
- Spares/Motor/Engine parts knowledge, warehouse systems and procedures
