Sibulelo Manamatela Drops Eye-catching Photos In Latest IG Post

South African lifestyle blogger, Sibulelo Manamatela has taken to social media to drop some stunning photos.

The beautiful mother of two shared these lovely photos on her personal social media handle on Instagram.

She used the opportunity to speak about the winter season that will soon hit South Africa. The post she made reads;

“This is not a winter body.
A slim body is also not a summer body.
Bodies are not seasonal.

As we are getting into winter, I’ve been seeing a lot of calls (i.e tweets) for fat/cuddly women as if to say now is our time to ‘shine’ and be worthy of love and companionship- this happens every year around this time.

It’s gross. It’s offensive and downright degrading.

I see nothing wrong with working on your body (fitness, weight loss/gain or what you want) at any time during the year but the whole ‘summer bodies are made in the winter’ saying also feeds into the idea that bodies must look a certain way during a certain time. Wrong!

We can work on our health and build the version of ourselves that makes us feel confident but what’s most important is to love and to care for our bodies at all times- regardless of where we are in our journeys.

Don’t say things that perpetuate fatphobia.”

Actor Innocent Masuku Warns SA Youth About Drugs

Actor Innocent Masuku Warns SA Youth About Drugs

On June 16, we commemorated Youth Day. And while the day may be celebratory, there is very little to celebrate, considering the high unemployment rate in South Africa.

As a result, most young people resort to crime and drugs, ruining their future. Actor Innocent Masuku shared a heartfelt message to the youth of SA, warning them about the dangers of drugs.

The actor, who’s been missing in action, says young people shouldn’t do drugs because they will end up missing better opportunities over something that has no use.

“Be careful of the friends you keep. Be careful of the choices you make. It’s amazing how time flies. Sometimes, the choices you make can cost you many opportunities,” he says.

Masuku is one of the most talented actors South Africa has produced. He played the role of Bobo on “Yizo Yizo” and Bakstina on “Tshisa”. Unfortunately, with all the fame, he too fell into drugs, and that’s not something he wishes for any young person.

“When I entered the entertainment industry, I was tempted and got involved in drugs. And I regret it because I lost so many opportunities and good friends. And no matter how much I regret it, I can never regain the time I lost. It feels bad.

“I may look strong, but deep down, I am still hurt,” explains the Soweto-born star.

He adds that the youth need to be presented with more opportunities.

“What’s killing the youth is that they have too much time on their hands. They don’t know what to do.

“Others end up making the wrong choices and end up taking drugs. It’s worse for those who take drugs they cannot afford because, as a community, we fall victim to their crimes. We need to try to help those willing to go to rehab,” says Masuku.
